Band page - Grand Magus
Latest news
Saturday, January 9, 2010 - Grand Magus Begin Recording New Album | Grand Magus have entered Studio 301 just outside of Stockholm to lay down the basic tracks for eight of the songs for their upcoming album, Hammer Of The North.
The band report from the studio: "The big room we use for the drums have unique and fantastic acoustics, we are talking some of the most punishing natural drum sounds since Creatures Of The Night or Mob Rules. It'll be extremely exciting to present some real stuff in this world of triggered and doctored drums and what else. We are confident that the real deal will taste better!"
Grand Magus - who recently inked a deal with Roadrunner Recordfs - include "JB" Christofferson (guitars, lead vocals), Fox Skinner (bass, backing vocals), Sebastian "Seb" Sippola (drums).
Hammer Of The North will be released in the spring/early summer and will feature the band's "style of full-on metal assault with fantastic heavy riffing and stomping songs, strong hook-lines, epic vocals/lyrics and rousing solo guitars," according to a recent press release. · Discuss this news further (0) |
