DVD Review - Iron Maiden - Visions of the Beast
Well the full-blown video anthology has arrived, spanning Maiden's entire career up until this point. Of course, most of the stuff here is material that we have all seen before, covering all bases from the MTV-era all the way up to the present, where Maiden videos no longer receive the rotation that they used to.

But letting the playlist speak for itself, we have the presence of all members, all frontmen, and all albums, all eras, and so forth. The videos range from live performances to short film concepts, here we have everything from the practice session footage of Wasted Years, the football/soccer game footage of Futurereal, the WWII footage for Aces High, the short films of Can I Play With Madness and Stranger in a Strange Land, early footage with Di'anno in Women in Uniform, digital animation in the Angel and the Gambler, Live Donnington Footage with Fear of the Dark, Rock in Rio footage with Brave New World, and more recent videos like the Wicker Man among many, many others.

Besides being just another video compilation there are bonuses added, just like on any DVD release these days. Camp Chaos animation was brought in to create new videos for Aces High, Number of the Beast, Flight of Icarus, and Run to the Hills, intertwining the old videos with completely new animation created for the songs. There are also hidden features, which I have yet to find, there are apparently two more Camp Chaos videos hidden somewhere in the Menus. But one of the most interesting things about this release is the menus and the graphics and animation created just for it. Very well done, a lot of effort was put into the making of this, going beyond the "From here to Eternity" release on VHS a few years ago.

It is the perfect collection for all fans alike, it is something that was created for Metalheads, especially for the fans that had been crying out for a video compilation on DVD. It is finally here, all the videos to sum up the career of one of the greatest bands around and given the royal treatment that it deserves.

A collection of classic Maiden videos, with a nice intro with Eddie in it. And some kind of green goo. Anyway, if you're a die-hard Maiden fan, go ahead and buy - it has the camp chaos (?)vids as well, i think, number of the beast, aces high, etc, etc. good stuff.

Damn straight, all of the videos are here, camp chaos as well, play Hallowed be thy name 3 times
(or at least speed through them) then you will unlock the trooper i believe, then you take the first disk and play the trooper 3 times (same as hallowed) and you will unlock the wickerman. those are the only 2 tricks i know
