Interview with Unravel - Unravel
Written by Steen

Unravel is an unsigned band from St. Petersburg, FL. We sent them some questions and here's what they said.

Okay, let me know about the history of the band. How did you get together?

-The band started back in 2000 as i had left my band to start one that was more my style. I had found all the members with some help of friends and advertisements .

What is your current situation? Are you close to getting a record deal or are you going to record more demos?

-Things are going great for us right now we are writing better than ever and getting some good offers from many different companies. And no more demos just our full length.

How would you describe the music you play?

-Our music is more pure and what we feel like writing other than what others expect from a band of our stature.

I have listened to the songs from mp3.com and I like the songs "Cory" and "Razorblade soup" much better than the other ones, both musically and vocally. Were these song recorded at a different time than the other ones? Are you writing new songs? And if yes what direction are you taking with them?

-Yes those two song where recorded at a different time for the reason of shopping record companies. We dont even play those other songs anymore.

Do you have any immediate future plans?

-We are going to the studio this month to record our full length cd it should be out around november and i hear talks of a possible national distribution deal.

Thanks for doing this interview and good luck in the future!
