The Quireboys - Live in London (CD/DVD)
This CD/DVD package displays The Quireboys live at The Marquee club in London. The show dates back to 2004 during Quireboys' stint on the Monster of Rock Tour. This club show was done along with Thunder, who also were on the Monsters of Rock bill.

"We're the Quireboys and this is Rock N' Roll..........needless to say that this is a fantastic performance. Quireboys has always been a solid and entertaining live band. This line up has Jason Bonham on drums, Luke Bossendorfer on guitar and the 3 original stooges: bassist Nigel Mogg, guitarist Guy Griffin and singer Spike.

The DVD sees Quireboys rock the small club and their music really comes alive in an intimate setting. Jason Bonham on the drums provides the band with a solid foundation that is unique and defines this era of The Quireboys' career.

Nigel Mogg is a character on stage. Spike sounds amazing throughout the concert and his high spirits infects the vibe.  Quireboys uses their support slot wasting no time and let the music do the talking.

This is no frills Rock N' Roll. Even though Quireboys only recorded 3 albums the setlist is strong and the band rocks. Worth mentioned is Turn Away, which sounds very energetic on this particular night.

Quireboys is one of my favorite bands and this CD/DVD package proves why.

The only flaw is that the band has not authorized the recording and therefore warns people about buying the CD/DVD. This has been issued on Quireboys myspace "The Quireboys do not endorse the live album released by Global Music... more info to follow."
