Karma Cowboys - Shake it
Danish band Karma Cowboys is a newcomer and Copenhagen based 4-piece has just released their debut "Shake it".  The music of Karma Cowboys is rooted in the 70's with references to bands like Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin - The Led Zeppelin reference is mainly because of the arrangements of the songs. The songs have lots of emotion and soul. The outcome is pure honest Rock N' Roll played with passion and credibility.

When you are playing this type of 70's based Hard Rock the lead singer is very important hence you are up against icons like Ian Gillan and Robert Plant. Karma Cowboys has a strong singer in Thomas Carlsen, whose voice is varied and his pipes are strong- just listen to Shine on Tomorrow.

The production fits the music perfectly and there is nothing you can put your finger on. The musicians are seasoned and the band oozes joy of playing.

"Shake it" is a refreshing, groovy and unpretentious debut album. This type of music needs to be experienced in concert so watch out for Karma Cowboys' on stage.
