Gynger Lynn - Gynger Lynn
Today everybody can record professionally on the computer with pro tools or DAT tapes for a very limited amount of money.

Back in the 80's you recorded on 8 tracks and paid for studio time to track demos. Unfortunately time has taken it toll on Gynger Lynn's demo since it has been recorded on cassette with inherent noise and flaws, which reduces the sound quality.

Gynger Lynn formed in 1989 and they lived their Rock N' Roll dream to the fullest by playing 6-8 times a month and rehearsing 5 days a week. The artwork is brilliant because Gynger Lynn certainly had the right look, which was important in the hair band era. The band also played industry showcases for all the major labels.

Gynger Lynn had one disadvantage in getting signed since the band was based in Chicago and not L.A.

Lead singer Dean Pressley has a great voice and a voice that really enraptures the listener. The album opens with thunder and lightning on the rocking Dirty. The voice of Dean Pressley could be more up front. Reasons Why is a typical ballad with haunting vocals and crying guitars.

Track 7-10 is from another session while track 11-13 is recorded at the famous CRC Records with well-known Chris Shepard handling the mix.

Gynger Lynn is an interesting band, but the album suffers from tape hiss and reduced sound quality. In 1994 the band split up.
