Pedestrians of Blue - Crossing Over (Fishfarm records)
Debut from Norwegian band, POB.
And what a debut. Progressive hard melodic rock is the best approximation I can give.
Maybe the best album I've heard this year. One of them at least.
Lec Zorn Project - It Began In The Underground (Indie)
A 20 year gestation period's given birth to unarguably the best melodic rock / AOR album this year.
With Tracy White, Lars Safsund, Michael Riesenbeck, Mike Walsh and the ubiquitous Tommy Denender, it wipes the floor with all pretenders.
Tempestt - Bring Em On (Dynamo Records)
Brazillian Prog Metal / Hard Rock band, Tempestt really have nailed it with their debut album. Jef Scott Soto guests on 1 track, but really, this band doesn't need anything but the quality of their music to sell albums. What a find.
