Staff page - Paul

Paul is no longer part of the RevelationZ staff. As long as his articles are available on the site, this page will be here.

I'm Paul LaPlaca and this is my staff page.

I play guitar and keyboards with Savatage/ TSO guitarist Chris Caffery but you are just as likely to catch me out front enjoying the show as you are to see me onstage. I am first and foremost a fanatic about any style of good music and everything else is secondary.

My performance history is weird and diverse- I've played with the alleged son of Elvis Presley in a 50's band in Buffalo, with Von LMO the legendary noise pioneer who claims to have been abducted by aliens (I believe him!) I've worked with NYC bands October Thorns, Grey Skies Fallen and Zandelle and now with Chris Caffery. I've been to nearly every major metal festival in the States and a few in Europe and seen just about every band I've ever wanted to. I know what I like and can tell you exactly why.

I am the Siskel and Ebert of Metal I tell you!! Two thumbs up is the big metal horns!

I hope to bring a different style to CD reviews and a behind the scenes look at the shows that I have the privilege of playing.

Enjoy!
